The photography of Mark L. Atwater features hunting retrievers up close and wide open- as most people have never experienced them. His retriever photography features hunting, upland, hunt test, training, puppy and portraits of working retrievers and other gun dogs. Along with high impact retriever photos, Mark also photographs a variety of nature, wildlife and scenic subjects from the southern U.S. An intense love for waterfowl and a life of pursuing them has resulted in a collection of uniquely beautiful, artistic images of woodduck, canvasback and pintail ducks along with many other waterfowl, wading and water birds. In addition to waterfowl, Mark also photographs the wildlife and wild places of south Georgia and north Florida including Lake Seminole, Lake Eufaula, Wakulla Springs, numerous plantations and many other beautiful properties. Unique landscape images of longleaf pine and wiregrass and many native wildflowers and endangered plants are among his favorite photographic targets.
